All excellent. Thank you.
- Mrs B
very efficient and prompt service although a difficult staircase
- Mr T
I checked out 4 stair lift providers. The advice from Acorn was excellent and they provided the best solution for our needs, both function and aesthetics. Installation was very quick (within 2 days). It functions very well and does not look obtrusive. The white runners blend in with our white walls and the soft grey seat matches our carpeting. It is easy to operate and has been a life saver in enabling my wife to get upstairs The alternative would have been to move to a single level house. Ev

My condition improved and I no longer use the stairlift. Acorn were absolutely not interested in taking it back. They had however been ringing me frequently and quite aggressively trying to sell me servicing.
- Mr C
Fitted within a few days. I had to phone for help twice. Chaps couldn’t have been more helpful. Of course it was me that was at fault not the stair lift. Problem solved very quickly. Absolutely love it now. It has made a huge difference to me.

- Mr P
excellent service from start to finish would recommend you to family and friends
- Mr G
Fast service and installed quick
- Mr R
Sadly mum passed away before she was able to come home. Acorn were excellent, no quibbles about cancelling at short notice and very speedy return of the deposit. My cousin used them for her husband and was very pleased too
- Mrs C
yes its good for my wife but might be me next month , its a little slow , had to pay for it all are self what else can i say ? it helps my wife get up stairs safely .
Had this stair lift fitted prior to my husband coming home from hospital having had a bad stroke. My Husband had a home visit some three weeks later with his care team, who discovered the chair lift was not fit for purpose as the seat would not swivel to the right in a very narrow hallway, but as it was past their two week return, would not allow me a refund so I am now stuck with it. Wish I had waited for him to come home before having it fitted. I feel as though I am being penalised. I am very
- Mrs M
I wish I had had a stairlift installed much earlier.
- Mr H
I think that the length of my thighs should have been assessed to make sure I fitted comfortably on the seat. I do not and my knees and feet scrape the wall in places and it is difficult to get off the chair at the top of the stairs.
- Mrs J
The information provided by the rep on the initial visit was very good all questions answered. I didn’t feel pressured by her to buy on the day, however, a member of the team phoned the next day, that’s when I felt a bit pressured, it didn’t influence our decision. Having decided to buy from Acorn and paid a deposit, installation could have been 3 days later, but we had to delay, which wasn’t a problem. I contacted them on a Thursday to tell them we were ready for the installation and was give

Our stair lift was installed the day before my husband unexpectedly died in hospital after a fall. Acorn had been very quick to install the lift, ordered on Thursday, installed on Monday following. Both sales and installation staff were very helpful and understanding. On contacting Acorn to ask for the removal of the lift, everyone was again wonderful. It was removed within the week and money repaid within 2 weeks. I can recommend Acorn with no hesitation.
Very sluggish!!
- Mr A
Very professional staff and stairlift more than meets the need of those who are unable to use stairs on a daily basis. Very easy to use also.
- Mrs R
All speedy follow up call to check all satisfactory
- Dr B
Being able to go up and down the stairs has given back a quality of life.
Did not have stairlift fitted
- Mr L
We had a curved stairlift from Acorn for my disabled sister and it's perfect for her needs.Very smooth and easy to use.Acorn were fantastic, excellent advice and fitted really quickly.
Value for money - not easily assessable because too much time needed to shop around.
Very satisfied & certainly removes the risks associated with disabled people using stairs
- Mr W
Can't advise as I will not be buying a stairlift as I no longer need one.
- Mr D
Not convinced this was a comparison website. Only one company phoned me and they phoned me immediately that I filled in my details on the website. Nobody else.
- Miss W
I could not have done. Every stage of purchase was carried out efficiently and the product is first- class .
Sadly my husband died, 5 days after the stairlift was fitted! Absolutely fantastic service… lift removed quickly, FULL refund.. quickly…… not a mark on the floor or walls or carpet…. So very impressed with this company… they turned what could have been a VERY expensive nightmare, into something we could cope with. Cannot thank them enough.
- Mrs L
First class response to urgent need
Choice of colour seat, arms etc would be a real advantage. We should not be pressured into paying for four years advance insurance after two weeks installation.
- Mrs A
Professional at all times and cant fault customer service.
- Mr S
Very good stair lift
needed a outside stairlift from the pavement to the house, they said it was too steep for them to do, gradient was about 20 degrees
- Mr E
- Ms R
As a younger disabled person I am a bit disappointed in the speed of the stair lift. I understand the whole safety thing but I will be asking another engineer to visit again to hopefully turn up the dial and reduce my frustration. Apart from that, the system works really well and is aesthetically good.
- Mrs D
After many months of grief with Social Work Department I couldn't believe how good Acorn were.
- Dr N
When the stairlift was fitted the person fitting it did not stop at all he just wanted to get the stairlift fitted asap so that I could use it and the stairlift has certainly improved things for me and made my life easier it was certainly worth the money I have paid
- Mr K
Wiring was placed under a carpet and adjacent to a door threshold. It should have been installed into a conduit for proper protection. Hence, I’ll have to employ an electrician to retire it correctly. I won’t use this company again
This Acorn stair lift has made my life much easier, no more taking 5-7 minutes to get to the top of the stairs, completely out of breath.
Very quick and efficient.
Amazing lift amazing company from inquiry to installation 6 days! Excellent in every respect, look no further x
Compared to other makes this is quite cluncky at certain points on the journey
- Mrs F
The young man who fitted our stair lift was very polite and no mess very professional
The engineer confirmed he would return 2 weeks after the installation as the chain is rusty but it’s now 9 weeks and still hasn’t returned.
Had been badly treated and messed around and stressed by 4 other companies, Acorn were superb and really happy with the product
No problems whatever.Thank you so much
The cost of service is £1400for 3 years. No other The cost of service is £1400 for 3years. Paying for a year at a time is not encouraged, greeted with it will cost you more.. I am hustled to pay this. A friend has the same make ,for some time now and is appalled at this amount as hers is far less. I am an elderly pensioner living by her self with no family living close.. I really don’t know where to go from here ,as it’s such a lot of money and I am feeling I am being taken advantage of.
Very kind and thoughtful, provided support for my needs. I was comfortable with the team. Appreciated all their technical support and advice.
I bought this for my 75 year old mum who was struggling with the stairs at home. It has been a godsend if I am honest and liberating for her as it is has given her confidence and independence and me it has taken the fear of her falling down the stairs. I would highly recommend Acorn - the service was excellent and the installation took a little over an hour with little impact on your home. The cost was about £3400 which included the electric chair swivel which i would recommend.
Couple of problems but corrected prontley
Great service. Chair lift fixed and batteries replaced
we limited our approach to two companies, Acord and Companion. Not sure why but these were the two that got in touch I suppose, most quickly. The salesman from Acord was approachable, smartly dressed, and empathic, able to alter his movements around the house to slow down to the speed of my mother, so she did not feel pushed. In comparison the Companion sales person was more intent on robotically following his prepared script and filling out a long questionnaire on an ipad, which reduced face to
Unfortunately the speed that "stair lift" travels upstairs is frustratingly slow -.although I understand why .
Absolutely delighted with the stair lift.
Just surprised at slow speed of "lift" but understand guidelines.
- Mrs T
Exterior stair lift purchased. Due to length and curvature of steps area stair lift goes extremely slow when adjusting. Does the job and tidy nice quality rails and chair however due to geographics of steps speed and performance disappointing.
- Mr N
unfortunately mum passed away 19th october
Fantastic service and very helpful staff. Cannot praise them highly enough.
More than happy with stairlift and Chris who was on time, polite, very professional and of a happy disposition. and put me at ease. Made sure I was happy with using the controls and assured me that if my cat should get in the way of the stairlift it would automatically stop immediately, and there is no way she could get caught under it. 11/10*
My husband passed away 9 days after the 14 days period. I paid £2750 for 23 days. They had to take the bannister off to put the stair lift in. They never put the bannister back again when removed. I am not entitled to any refund .I feel let down .
- Mrs W
Lovely staff from Administrators, estimator through to fitter. One week from speaking to estimator to fitting.
My husband passed away. I contacted the company to uplift my rented stair lift. We had it installed on 25/9/24 my husband passed away 17/10. . I am not entitled to any refund. I'm left with a bitter taste.im sorry my husband passed away after the 14 day period. So I will not recommend this company ever.
Given me and my family peace off mind
- Mrs P
Just a query for a neighbour but very helpful phone calls and follow ups
I had the stair lift for less than a month. Will I receive a refund of sort please.
Very satisfied
After 3 months our Acorn is still clunking up and down up to 8 times a day and I wonder if we are over using it but using the stairs is difficult with it in place. The remote control has never worked.
Superb service through out
Quite expensive
The service from Acorn stairlifts was superb from first contact to instalation. VERY PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL
Love being able to sit and have my chair take me upstairs when energy levels are at their lowest. My mind, being convinced I’m not going to fall down the steps as my lift chair is going to take me down stairs.
- W
Honest cost estimate. Speedy installation. Engineers that installed the lift were very professional and caring. After installation care and monitoring. I keep recommending Acorn.
It's a lot of money to cover 1yr,after the first 5 yrs. IS IT WORTH IT? WHY SUDDENLY COSTING SO MUCH PerAnnum after 5 yrs. Is it ABOUT TO HAVE BREAK DOWNS? SUSPICIOUS
